The active constituents in wild Cordyceps Sinensis are polysaccharides2,adenosine3, and Cordycepic acid (D-mannitols)4.

The Chinese Ministry of Health quality standard (WS2-C1-0001-90) for Cordyceps products sets a minimum level of Cordycepic acid (D-mannitols) (6.0%) and adenosine (0.14%).
